I believe in God, the Father Almighty
Creator of Heaven and Earth
I believe in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord
conceived by the power
of the Holy Spirit
born of the Virgin Mary
suffered under Pontius pilate
crucified
died and
was buried
On the third day He rose again,
in accordance with the Scriptures,
He ascended into heaven
Is seated at the right hand of
God the Father
Will come again to judge the living
and the dead
I believe in the Holy Spirit
the holy, catholic Church
the communion of Saints
the forgiveness of sins
the resurrection of the body
and the Life, everlasting. Amen

Which side of this ancient fence you stand on determines
if we see you as family or as a neighbor:
The Apostle's Creed, a summary of essential Christian truth, emphasizes
the true humanity and material body of Jesus, since the heretics
of the time (Gnostics, Marcionites, and later Manicheans) denied
these. Known as the Apostles' Creed because of its great antiquity
and faithful summary of doctrines taught in the Bible.
We also cherish The Nicene Creed, written in 381 AD at Constatinople,
it emphatically affirms the Deity of Christ, since the Arians denied
Christ was fully God. |
